The Berlin Cathedral, the largest church in Berlin, sees itself as a central location of the Evangelical Church in Germany. Every year, far beyond the borders of the parish and the city, it attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from home and abroad.

With its services, guided tours and over 100 concerts and events per year, the Berlin Cathedral invites you to approach the Christian faith tradition in a musical and spiritual way. The offer includes, for example, faith and baptism courses, monthly Taizé devotions, children’s services and youth work with confirmands. In addition to the Philharmonie, the concert hall on the Gendarmenmarkt and the opera houses, the Berlin Cathedral is a top address among music lovers.

Together with our cathedral guides, visitors discover the cathedral from the crypt to the sermon church and the cathedral museum. You can also take a look behind the scenes. If you are interested, we also offer special tours of the crypt and organ.

Guided tours can also be combined with an organ concert on the Kaiserloge.
The guided tours for children and schoolchildren that we offer for all ages are particularly popular.

The cathedral café. The small, cozy café in the Berlin Cathedral is tucked away in the basement of the building, right next to the cathedral shop. Guests from all over the world who visit the Berlin Cathedral can relax here at the end of the long tour and refresh themselves with coffee, cake, cold drinks and small snacks in self-service. The room with its high cross vault can accommodate about 30 guests.

As soon as the temperatures allow it, the Domcafé extends its space with numerous tables and chairs outside next to the cathedral. Tall trees dampen the traffic noise on the nearby Karl-Liebknecht-Straße and offer plenty of shade. Guests can help themselves at an outside counter, for example with drinks and freshly baked waffles or ice cream depending on the season.

The Domcafé opens daily at 11 a.m. and closes at the same time as the Berlin Cathedral.
