Since 1991, the historic Festsaal in the Hackesche Höfe has been Berlin’s first address for modern vaudeville or Cirque Nouveau. Founded in the “Everything is possible” atmosphere of the post-reunification period, the Chameleon Theater has remained true to this self-conception for many years: “To let artistic freedom govern and to remain a changeable house is our unconditional claim,” says Anke Politz, artistic director of the house.
This is achieved through collaboration with world-class artists who elaborately stage their cross-genre productions at the Chameleon Theater. Acrobatics, dance, music – in one of Berlin’s most beautiful theatres you can expect a modern, non-verbal circus in shows that are full of wit and innovation.
