Traditional boat trip through the upper Spreewald
The Spreewald is located south of Berlin in the Niederlausitz region. Typical for the landscape is an unmissable labyrinth of watercourses and side arms of the Spree. These rivers, as the arms of the water are called, are often still the only connection between farms and fields and neighbouring villages. Since the Slavic settlement in the 6th century Sorbs and Wends have been living in the Spreewald and have preserved their language and cultural identity to this day. Besides the impressive landscape, the Spreewald is home to numerous sights such as old Sorbian settlements, stately castles such as in Lübbenau as well as manor houses and architecturally significant churches. This is the Spreewald tour.
