Tipi am Kanzleramt: Berliners were already having fun ‘in the tents’ since the early 1900.
Very central. Located between the German Chancellery and the House of World Cultures in the middle of the green Tiergarten.
Whether chanson, cabaret, variety, dance, artistry or musical comedy – in the TIPI AM KANZLERAMT, renowned German and international artists present a programme for the highest demands, intelligent entertainment in a big city format every evening. Here, nationally known artists such as Tim Fischer, Gayle Tufts from the US, Georgette Dee and the Geschwister Pfister show their latest productions. International formations such as the witty ‘Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain’, the crazy comedy flamenco show Olé or the Venetian transformation star ENNIO are regular guests at the TIPI AM KANZLERAMT. The spectrum of this unusual stage ranges from new discoveries such as the Australian comedy stars The Umbilical Brothers to Caledon, the powerful-voiced tenors from Scotland, from the quirky Rainald Grebe to the acting and singing star Gustav Peter Wöhler. In addition, there will be readings and sparkling individual evenings with entertainment greats such as Dieter Hildebrandt and Alfred Biolek, while acting stars such as Andrea Sawatzki will be breaking new ground with a chanson programme.
The blue-lined theatre room has 552 seats, almost all of which are fixed table seats. Festively decorated, the TIPI AM KANZLERAMT offers not only an excellent wine list but also a small, fine selection of dishes, which is both seasonal and based on the programmes. With 800 square metres and a room height of up to eight metres, the beautiful tent architecture creates a unique atmosphere for events of all kinds. The technical equipment is designed to meet the latest requirements. In summer, the beer garden with barbecue and a view of the Chancellery is inviting.
